Mad Dog Fargo can be found in the Black Gilva Tavern located in Darwin Village.

He and Metal Maniac are both sick and are lying down at the back of the tavern. The player can cure them with Antitoxin and recruit both of these NPCs. Recruited into Ranger service, Mad Dog Fargo reached the rank of Fireteam Lieutenant. By 2102, he is dead, buried outside the Ranger Citadel.

Behind the scenes[ | ]
- Fargo is named after Brian Fargo. Interestingly, the prompt to get an answer about him from the Black Gilva Tavern is "brian the fist", indicating his original name was different. Brian the Fist is one of the default characters in The Bard's Tale and yet another name derived from producer Brian Fargo.
